Only hundreds (out of the tens of thousands of candidates) who apply for national fellowships like the Rhodes, Schwarzman, Mitchell, Marshall, Luce, Gates Cambridge etc. will receive an interview. The interview is the most important aspect of getting selected as a finalist after you submit your application. I have helped hundreds of students apply over the last decade, and I've helped dozens win. I know what generally works and what might not.
Spend 1+ hour with me as I walk through potential interview questions with you (taken from my list of 100+ interview question). Based on your level of experience and comfort level this could be a full-on mock interview or a thorough discussion about how to answer specific, difficult questions. Also, I'll break down what you might expect logistically, as this plays into candidates' abilities to portray themselves positively. I'll also tell you exactly what you need to do to prepare on your own time after our Zoom session.
I plan on spending at least one hour with you, but I will not stop until I determine that you have enough tools to be able to prepare yourself effectively after our call. My goal is to offer you advice that all other applicants might consider '5-star level.' You should be leaving this Zoom session with a mix of 'more confident', 'knowledgable,' yet 'slightly panicked' about all that's ahead. There is a lot of content to cover for you to feel adequately ready by the time the interview happens. And I'm here to share everything I know with you.
While winning isn't guaranteed, I want our practice interview session to help you beyond national fellowships. Most applicants will be interviewing for graduate school and multiple jobs over the course of building a career, and walking through this with me should help prepare you for future interviews.
